2025 Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

Did you know that one in five children living in the Bismarck-Mandan area relies on nutrition assistance? Beyond health issues, hunger can have devastating outcomes – employees become ineffective, and students lose focus in the classroom. Hunger prevents our neighbors from reaching their full potential.

On May 10th, the National Association of Letter Carriers, in partnership with MSA United Way, held it's annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Letter carries placed postcards and plastic bags in every local mailbox for community members to fill with non-perishable food items. On May 10th, letter carriers along with 50+ volunteers picked up and sorted through over 26,000 pounds of donated food. The collected food was distributed to 15 agencies to help supply local food pantries and United Way’s Backpack Program, to ensure local children are fed over the weekends and when school is out of session.

Agencies that benefitted from the 2025 National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive: Abused Adult Resource Center, McLean Family Resource Center, Ministry on the Margins, Community Action, Spirit of Life Mandan, Little Free Pantries, Youthworks, Corpus Christi Emergency Food Pantry, Salvation Army, Heaven's Helpers Soup Cafe, Bismarck Emergency Food Pantry, Dacotah Foundation, Dream Center, United Way Backpack Program, & Aid Inc.
