HONOR ROLL
[Stop]

Every day in our community, individuals and families face the reality of housing instability and homelessness, often quietly, and often unseen. United Way is committed to addressing these challenges by bringing people, resources, and organizations together to create lasting change.

During the Little Black Dress Campaign, participants intentionally wear the same outfit for an entire week to spark conversations and raise awareness about homelessness in our community. What may feel uncomfortable, repetitive, or inconvenient for a short period is meant to represent something far deeper.

For individuals and families experiencing homelessness, limited choices are a daily reality, often wearing the same clothing, going unnoticed, and navigating stigma simply to get through the day. Wearing the same outfit all week is a visible reminder of those limited options and helps start meaningful conversations about housing insecurity that too often stays hidden.

This simple, powerful action encourages dialogue, empathy, and awareness, opening the door for others to ask why. And that question leads to education, understanding, and ultimately action.

By supporting United Way and participating in the Little Black Dress Campaign, you help turn awareness into impact—supporting local programs that address homelessness, provide stability, and help our neighbors move toward a more secure future.
