In recent years, marketing support has been identified by United Way partners as an essential need. Many nonprofits in the Bismarck-Mandan area have limited capacity in the area of marketing. Support, donations, and advocacy efforts are often hindered without the important education of the community.
United Way is recruiting marketing and communications professionals to help meet this need. Volunteers will be linked with local needs such as graphic design, social media management, storytelling, website maintenance, event promotion and planning, media relations and consulting. Volunteers will provide both hands-on support and consultation.
In addition to benefitting local nonprofits, United Way’s Marketing Committee offers real-world opportunities for marketing and communications professionals. Participants will be able to network with other individuals in the marketing and communications field, expand and diversify their portfolios and improve their marketing skills.
