Administrative Coordinator: Missouri Slope Areawide United Way seeks an Administrative Coordinator to perform varied clerical and financial duties, such as data entry, project management, and day-to-day office duties. Organize various meetings and volunteers; oversee the operation of the United Way data entry software; respond to donor inquiries. Qualifications: A two year degree in business administration or related field, bachelor’s degree preferred. Extensive computer experience including Word, Excel and various reporting. Highly organized and ability to work effectively with others.

Client Service Advocate: Missouri Slope Areawide United Way seeks a Client Service Advocate to provide full-time case management and advocacy services to participants and clients for the emergency homeless shelter. Responsibilities include: intake and orientation for new clients, advocacy services, assist clients in ordering birth certificates, state identification cards or driver's license, develop action plans with clients, conflict resolution, money management, communicate with probation and courts as required, provide services and guidance to previous clients, provide employment assistance, make referrals and coordinate services to other agencies for further assistance, assist clients in obtaining and completing job applications, and organize and maintain client records. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; one or more years of experience, or training, in a homeless shelter, counseling, or social work; preferred or relevant type of work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPiont. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with others, including other regulatory agencies, departments, and the public; prepare clear, complete and technically accurate reports; make effective oral presentations to groups in a public forum, and work independently under minimum supervision.
