Miller Elementary School
Miller Elementary School is supporting the The Little Black Dress campaign ran by Women United and friends to help raise awareness about poverty in the community. The funds raised are used to keep families in their homes, making sure kids can get to school and learn, as well as finding mentors for these students. Funds support United Way's Education Initiative helping women and children to overcome the barriers of poverty so they are successful in school and life.
This campaign is special to us because it directly impacts students and families in our school.
The Little Black Dress plays a crucial role in increasing awareness among both students and staff members about the effects that poverty has on those around us. This campaign also fosters a deeper understanding and empowers us to provide supports to families that are directly impacted within our school. Additionally, this initiative extends its positive impact beyond the school grounds, reaching out to and providing valuable assistance to families in our community.
