Mission Statement The Women's Leadership Circle is committed to engaging women by helping others through the giving of Time, Talent and Treasures and making a lasting difference by giving to our United Way.
By joining the United Way Women’s Leadership Circle:
- You will become a pioneer in the philanthropic field.
- You will improve the partnership between women and United Way through volunteerism and financial support.
- You will have the opportunity to combine your strength and compassion with other women in order to make a difference.
- You will help raise contributions that are specifically earmarked to assist women and children.
- You will engage in activities that support and assist the development and advancement of women and children in the Bismarck-Mandan and surrounding communities.
- You will serve in an advisory capacity to the Missouri Slope Areawide United Way.
Here are four points to consider regarding your WLC membership:
- The WLC energizes and inspires women to make a difference by taking a leadership role in promoting MSA United Way through the sharing of their time, talents, and treasures.
- Your spot with this enthusiastic group is secured through your donation of $500 or more to the MSA United Way and by checking the appropriate box on your pledge card. Your financial donation is key in funding the much needed programs in our community. Your active giving of your time and talents helps to sustain and drive the WLC to benefit the women and children around us.
- 80% of contribution decisions are made by the females in the household. What is in your purse? The contents of your purse can change lives by sharing of your time, talent, and treasures.
- The WLC utilizes the strengths of women in our community to make a difference. Education, income and health are the building blocks that fortify our community. MSA United Way works with many partners in the community to help people gain access to these opportunities.
