MSA United Way's Leadership Circle recognizes those donors who give $10,000 or
more annually for five years. This gift will ensure the longevity of programs in
our community which help improve the lives of others.

A Gift of Cash or Appreciated Stock

This is an excellent technique for individuals in the highest tax bracket... or those who have sold a
business or received a significant bonus and could benefit from an immediate tax deduction.

Gift of Retirement Funds

Donating retirement assets is one of the best ways to make a charitable gift because it is easy and it avoids the
double taxation of income and estate taxes that diminish its value to your heirs. Naming United Way as the
beneficiary of a retirement account allows you to continue to draw money out of your retirement account
while you are living and provides you with the freedom to change your mind if your situation changes.

Gift of Life Insurance

Gifts of life insurance allow you to make a gift that might be larger than if you were to give an asset outright. With a
relatively modest outlay, a donor can make a substantial gift while receiving tax benefits. You can give United
Way a "paid up" policy that you already own, or you can purchase a policy to donate.

Bequests Through a Will

One of the most popular and easiest ways to make a planned gift is through your will. You can leave a specified
percentage, dollar amount, property or the residual of an estate to MSA United Way. This provision
can be part of a new will or added to your existing will as a codicil.

A Gift Through a Charitable Gift Annuity and Receive Payments for Life.

If you would like to benefit from interest that is higher than you can obtain from CDs and money market
accounts, a charitable gift annuity is an excellent gift option, especially if you are over 60 years old. You would
receive annuity payments for life and the remainder of the gift would benefit our community.
